WHO AM I? - Astrid Castle

OCCUPATION - Completed 4 years at university studying Illustration and Graphic Design. Was a tester at E.A. Games, and am currently working for Crytek in Germany. Also a Freelance Illustrator.

AGE - 25, same age as my twin sister, funnily enough.

HOME - London, England, currently Frankfurt.

PETS - Two wonderfully evil male cats, Raziel a black/grey longhair, and Cid a mainly black tabby - and he's the biggest cat you've ever seen!

WORK EXPERIENCE - I actually worked in a hairdressers for my work experience at school (I don't know how they have the patience! Did no actual hair cutting, but I made many a cup of coffee ;) Worked in the Gamestation (an unofficial one, ahem) for the past few years - it was great to be surrounded by so many films and video games, I'm was in heaven! Shame about there being customers...
Also worked at EA games as a tester, and worked on the games Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (all systems) Battlefield 2 (PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360) We Love Katamari (PS2), Me & My Katamari (PSP) Black (PS2 and Xbox), Burnout (NDS), Namco Museum, Pac-man World 3, Battlefield 2 expansion (PC). Just finished working on Crysis (PC) at Crytek.

VEHICLES - Other than my space ship? I have full licenses for both car and motorbike (the bike's more fun to ride, but a car's more convenient.)

FAVE FILMS - The original Star Wars trilogy (Empire Strikes Back being the best!) the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Indiana Jones trilogy (lots of trilogies!) Jurassic Park, Aliens, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, the Matrix, Labyrinth, Escape from New York, Moulin Rouge - I could go on forever!

FAVE BOOKS - Anything by Terry Pratchett, especially the Discworld series, Harry Potter series, Gormenghast, Lord of the Rings, Pride and Prejudice.

FAVE GAMES - Final Fantasy VII and X, the Legacy of Kain series (especially Soul Reaver) Metal Gear Solid series, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Silent Hill 2 and 4, Resident Evil 1, 2 and 4, Devil May Cry, Gunstar Heroes, Zelda, Flashback, Another World, Metroid Prime, Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight, Day of the Tentacle, Kingdom Hearts, Xenogears, Castlevania SotN, Shadow of the Colossus, We Love Katamari.

MOI - My list here is very similar to my sisters, don't you think? Well we are twins and do live in the same house; we just happen to have the same interests, it can't be helped. ;) I love drawing and always have, films and games being my main source of inspiration. I was always taken to the cinema as a kid mainly to see fantasy films (it was the 80s!) If I could, I would live in a theatre in the West End as I'm always visiting them anyway - you can't beat a live performance, it's magical. :) I love escapism, and being transported somewhere else for a few hours, not to mention the atmopshere in an audience, and the theatre's great for it! (shame it's so bloody expensive) I like to ride my motorbike, though it can be so dangerous in London what with all the traffic/crazy people. I'm studying shotokan karate, though not yet a blackbelt like my sister. (I could still beat her in a fight I think ;) I love to travel, though sadly don't do as much as I'd like - travelling into central London is great though, I love the city.
